Jesus is Our Way Maker

Jesus is Our Way Maker

Are you in a time where all feels hopeless, and you have no idea how you will recover? You have no idea how to make things right again? You have no idea how you will climb up out of the pit of despair?

Friend if this is you, let me remind you who our Lord is.

Jesus is our Way Maker, when there is no way. Jesus brings a refreshing in our lives when we are surrounded by desert. Jesus shines His light and shows us a way out of the darkness that is closing in.

If you are feeling lost, weary and without options read His promise for you found in Isaiah 43:19 NLT

19 For I am about to do something new.  See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

Time and time again Jesus has shown up and made a way when there was no possible way in human reasoning or power.

The Red Sea was parted for the Israelites to safely pass through on dry ground and escape their enemy.  (Exodus 14: 21-31)

He shut the mouth of the lions for Daniel who was shut in their den all night long, so he could be a living testimony to the faithfulness and almighty power of God.  (Daniel 6:22)

God shook the foundation of the prison walls that Paul and Silas were locked up in, opening the doors and breaking the chains that bound them. He freed them when they could not free themselves. He revealed His glory and majesty to protect His faithful servants. (Acts  16: 25-28)

He calms the storm with a simple command of His voice. “Even the wind and waves obey Him!” (Mark 4: 37-41)

Jesus fed thousands who were hungry from only five loaves of bread and two fish. He ensured everyone man, woman and child would not leave hungry. There was even an abundance left over. (Luke 9: 13-17)

He brought miracle healing everywhere He went; healing lepers completely and wholly (Luke 17: 11-19) and restored a woman with chronic bleeding for 12 years who had been considered an outcast in her community (Luke 8: 43-48), and gave sight to a man born blind (John 9: 1-6), and countless other miracle healings in His ministry on earth.

These are not just stories from an old book from long ago.

These are recordings of actual happenings and encounters with Jesus Christ, our Lord, so that we may learn of and believe in His miracle working power. These are documented for us to know across all time, in every generation, people like you and me will face times of desperation and hopelessness. Their culture might look different then ours does today, but their trials-adversity, hunger, broken relationships, financial issues, addiction, illness…it’s all the same.  God has these documented in His Word that we may see His faithfulness and His glory and He’s shows up in powerful ways as only He can do.

He wants each of us to see Him and trust in Him as our Way Maker and Miracle Worker. Not to get what we want in any given situation, but to have hope in every situation.

There is a song by the band Leeland, called Way Maker.  Let their lyrics settle into your heart today and lift your eyes to the One who is able to make a way no matter how hopeless it appears.

Way maker
Miracle worker
Promise keeper
Light in the darkness
My God
That is who you are

You wipe away all tears
You mend the broken heart
You’re the answer to it all
Jesus
You wipe away all tears
You mend the broken heart
You’re the answer to it all (to it all)
Jesus

You are here
Touching every life
I worship you
I worship you
You are here
Meeting every need
I worship you
I worship you

Way maker
Miracle worker
Promise keeper
Light in the darkness
My God
That is who you are

Jesus Himself reminds us, What is impossible with man is possible with God.”  Luke 18:27

He goes on to say, “Everything is possible for the one who believes.”  Mark 9:23

And God proclaims I am the Lord. The God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?Jeremiah 32:27

The key to accessing the way that Jesus has for you and to overcome whatever trial you are in, is to believe in Him.

Believe He is the Way Maker. Believe He is the Miracle Worker. Believe He is the One who will open doors that you can never open in your own power. Believe He is our Divine Healer who desires wholeness and wellness to your body, mind and soul.

He just wants you to ask Him to guide you and believe He is able and willing.

James 1:5 NLT says, If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

The same God who saved, protected, healed and rescued people in the Bible, is the very One who desires to show up and move in your life too. He wants to break strongholds in your life. He wants to bring you to safety and peace. He wants to offer healing over you. He wants to rescue you from the pit of despair. He wants to bring you to a life filled with joy and eternal hope.

Will you stop trying to make your own way, and turn to the Way Maker-trusting in His path and timing for you? It will be far better then anything you can imagine or ask for!

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God is doing something new in your life, and in fact has already begun! Let Him show you what He has for you and see that it is good.

Let’s pray:

Jesus we thank you for being our Way Maker. Thank you Lord for being the Good Shepherd you are, ever watchful over us, your sheep. You know our every need, even before we do, and you are at work to care of our needs. Lord help us to turn to You and believe in You, that You are able, You are mighty, and You are willing to help us. Help quit striving to handle everything in our own limited power and understanding. Let us turn to You, the source of infinite possibility and resources. Let us turn to You, our Miracle worker when all odds are stacked against us. We know Your name is higher then anything that can come against us. Let us speak your powerful and comforting name, Jesus over every trial we face. There is resurrection power in Your name. Help us to lift our eyes up to You O Lord, and look above our circumstance. Thank You Lord for the work You are doing in our lives. Thank You for making a way for us to truly live in peace, freedom and victory. We praise You O Lord. In Your powerful name Jesus, we pray. Amen.
